My hope is that she will be flattered by the painting as she is truly a wonderful inspiration. This 24" x 36" painting along with all of the other artwork will be on display for auction at the December 2, 2023 at the Zhou B Gallery in Chicago, Illinois. Proceeds from the auction will provide psychosocial support to cancer survivors and their loved ones through creative arts programming. This is my 4th year to participate as an artist. Anita provided me with wonderful background information – she finds joy is so many things that it was difficult to decide what elements to include in painting. Our shared love of travel is represented by the open window, her family is depicted in the frame on the wall and her pup waits patiently for her next playtime.
