Twist Out Cancer provides psychosocial support to cancer survivors and their loved ones through creative arts programming. We are a global community that enables anyone touched by cancer to connect, create, support and inspire.
This is my 2nd year to participate as an artist. I have been matched with Barbara who has been living with rectal cancer. My painting, Neruda's Well, was inspired by Barbara's experiences. The inspiration for the painting came from the poem by Pablo Neruda “"If each day falls inside each night, there exists a well where clarity is imprisoned. We need to sit on the rim of the well of darkness and fish for fallen light with patience."
On May 1, we gathered at the Dripping Springs Distillers Hall! Paintings were auctioned to support the programs mission.
Our local Fox station did an segment about the event, you can learn more (and see me being interviewed) Click HERE
